Simmons Bank Affirmative Action Program for Qualified Individuals with Disabilities and Qualified Protected Veterans Policy Statement

Statement of Policy: 41 C.F.R. § 60-741.44(a), 41 C.F.R. § 60-300.44(a)

It is the policy of Simmons First National Corporation not to discriminate against or allow the harassment of employees or applicants on the basis of physical or mental disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law with regard to any employment practices, including recruitment, advertising, job application procedures, hiring, upgrading, training, promotion, transfer, compensation, job assignments, benefits and/or other terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, provided the individual is qualified, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the essential functions of the job..  The Company will continue to ensure that such individuals are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their physical or mental disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law in all employment practices as follows:

Employment decisions at the Company are based on legitimate job-related criteria. All personnel actions or programs that affect qualified individuals, such as employment, upgrading, demotion, transfer, recruitment, advertising, termination, rate of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training, are made without discrimination because of any basis protected by law.

As part of Simmons First National Corporation’s equal employment opportunity policy, Simmons First National Corporation will also take affirmative action as to individuals with physical or mental disabilities and protected veteran status as called for by applicable laws and Executive Orders to ensure such individuals are introduced to our workforce and considered for promotional opportunities.

Employees and applicants will not be subjected to harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion, or discrimination because they have (1) filed a complaint; (2) assisted or participated in an investigation, compliance review, hearing or any other activity related to the administration of any federal, state or local law requiring equal employment opportunity; (3) opposed any act or practice made unlawful by any federal, state or local law requiring equal opportunity; or (4) exercised any other legal right protected by federal, state or local law requiring equal opportunity.

Simmons First National Corporation is fully committed to principals of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action as set forth herein. As Chairman and CEO, I support the successful implementation of the Company's Affirmative Action Programs for Qualified Individuals with Disabilities and Qualified Protected Veterans (“AAPs”). I have appointed Jennifer B. Compton, Affirmative Action Officer for the Company, with responsibility for implementation of the Company's AAPs. The Affirmative Action Officer has the full support of top management and the staff necessary to fully implement the AAPs. All managers and supervisors will take an active part in the Company's AAPs to ensure all qualified employees and prospective employees are treated in a non-discriminatory manner with respect to all employment decisions. Furthermore, Simmons First National Corporation will solicit the cooperation and support of all employees for the Company's Equal Employment Opportunity and AAPs. The Affirmative Action Officer has been assigned responsibility for periodically reviewing progress in the compliance and implementation of our AAPs.
